Gil's top choice. The Talich Quartet, known for their interpretive insights, brought those qualities of 'dark, ruminative qualities' to the G minor quintet. The others are also wonderfully played.

early 70s

The classic version. Consummate classical poise and artistry. Beautiful playing, wonderful balance, wonderfully judged tempos, and wonderful sound.
